You’ve just signed the franchise agreement. You’re now officially a Kitchen Tune-Up franchisee! So, what happens now? Over the next 90 days, you’ll go from new owner to confident operator. Get insight into what your first three months will look like as part of the Kitchen Tune-Up franchise system.

What to Expect in Your First 90 Days

Your first 90 days in a franchise are—as you probably guessed—busy. Here’s what to expect as part of the Kitchen Tune-Up onboarding process.

Weeks 1-4: Pre-Training and Training School

As a Kitchen Tune-Up franchisee, your training starts with a four-week online pre-training course at home. After you’ve completed your initial education, you’ll be invited to attend a 14-day training, combining virtual, classroom, and hands-on learning at our Experience Center in Dallas. During this time, you’ll learn everything you need to know about running a thriving home services franchise, including (but not limited to):

  • Marketing and sales
  • Accounting and profitability
  • Hiring and employee retention

By the end of training, you won’t just know the ins and outs of a Kitchen Tune-Up franchise, you’ll be ready to help homeowners in your community bring their visions to life with quality kitchen upgrades.

Weeks 5-8: Post-Training Action Plan and Launch Support

After completing your in-person training, your next step is to begin executing our structured 12-week Post-Training Action Plan with Accountability. This step-by-step program is designed to help you launch your Kitchen Tune-Up business with both confidence and clarity.

Franchise owner Tom Taube of Kitchen Tune-Up in Charlotte, NC, put it best: “Being part of a franchise, a lot of information is already developed for you. They have the process already down, so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. You can go into a proven system. You’ve got the experience of other folks and the experience of other franchise owners that you can draw upon. It lets you hit the ground running pretty quickly.”

During these weeks, you’ll officially launch your kitchen remodeling franchise in your protected territory. With guidance from your dedicated Launch Team, you’ll start generating leads, running your first consultations, and hiring or subcontracting skilled installers to complete jobs. You’ll be applying all that you learned in training and watching your business begin to flourish.

Weeks 9–12: Operational Momentum and Support

By this point, your business will start gaining momentum. You’ll still have weekly check-in calls with your Launch Team to help optimize your operations processes, marketing strategy, and sales efforts. If any issues come up with your first few customers, our team is there to help you troubleshoot.

In addition to your Launch Team, you’ll also be connected to the larger franchise system. Through weekly webinars, podcast content, and one-on-one support from your Regional Operations Manager (ROM), you’ll stay informed and engaged with brand news and best practices. As you continue growing, you’ll benefit from collaborating with other fellow owners across the entire Kitchen Tune-Up franchise system.

Franchise owners Jeff and Penny Toren of Kitchen Tune-Up in Philadelphia, PA love the sense of solidarity they feel as part of the Kitchen Tune-Up family: “That’s the joy of owning our own business. The camaraderie and collaboration with other owners to help each other succeed. We are not alone due to the support of the franchise parent and other owners.”
