National Love a Tree Day

May 16th is National Love a Tree Day.  Yes – there really is a Love a Tree Day!  Our team couldn’t find the origins of this national day, but it’s in the middle of Garden for Wildlife Month and nationalcalendar.com tells us it’s a relative of Arbor Day.

Kitchen Tune-Up is currently celebrating trees by partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation for our “Tune-Ups for Trees Campaign.”  The goal of the campaign is to plant 500 trees in a US National Forest.  With each Tune-Up wood restoration completed, we are donating a tree to be planted in a US National Forest on behalf of our clients. When existing cabinets are restored instead of replaced, our clients are doing a small part to help conserve our natural resources.

Trees clean the air and water and slow climate change, in addition to being beautiful and long-living. Today on #LoveATreeDay consider planting a tree, watering a tree, or even hugging a tree!
