Family Business Feature: Kitchen Tune-Up of Colorado Springs

We hosted Training School last week at our Home Office, and are excited to welcome new franchise owners in Lincoln, Nebraska and Atlanta, Georgia, and Operations Manager, Chad Morgan, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Chad's parents, Bruce and Lori Morgan, own Kitchen Tune-Up of Colorado Springs.

Bruce and Lori Morgan purchased their Kitchen Tune-Up franchise in June of 1994. Bruce shared with us that at the time, they had three young children ages 9, 6, and 4.  Owning a business was a major change in the dynamics of their family. Bruce had worked in accounting and the kids typically didn’t see him much until after 6 pm at night.  They talked as a family about the changes and what they would now be doing differently as small business owners.

That September, as school started, their 6-year-old son started first grade and the teacher asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” He replied enthusiastically, “A Kitchen Tune-Up Man!”

His teacher asked him what that meant and he simply stated what a Tune-Up was, and he even had the business phone number memorized.  The teacher later called them on the business line asking for an appointment because she was so impressed with his confidence and how he explained the Tune-Up!  That Tune-Up project was absolutely sold and completed because of the confidence of a first-grader named Chad Morgan!

All of the 5 Morgan kids have worked in the family's Kitchen Tune-Up business - both in the field and in the office over the past 24 years.  We are excited for their “Kitchen Tune-Up Man” to further embark on his career with Kitchen Tune-Up of Colorado Springs!
