FeaturedFranchise-Liberatore.jpgYou can visit the Kitchen Tune-Up Design Center in Highlands Ranch, Colorado which is owned by Dan Liberatore and Noah Liberatore.

This week's feature takes us to Denver, Colorado . . . the city that our franchise system is excited to visit in September for our 2018 National Reunion. Noah and Dan Liberatore are a father & son team who have been Tuning-Up kitchens across Denver and surrounding communities since 2005. They operate in a retail space, and their Kitchen Tune-Up Design Center is located in Highlands Ranch. They have completed projects in many cities including Centennial, Littleton, Golden, Englewood, and more. You can find them on Facebook here, and you can view before & after photos of their work on their website at kitchentuneup.com. Thank you to Noah for the interview!

What was your career before becoming a Tunie?
Customer service and restaurant management

What is your favorite part of owning your own business?
The flexibility that comes with being my own boss.

What comes to mind as your most memorable kitchen update?
There have been so many! The first one to come to mind is a Tune-Up that we did fairly early as Kitchen Tune-Up owners. The homeowner let us in first thing in the morning, then left for work. She came home just as we were finishing up and was so please with the project she said, “I feel like I’m on one of the home makeover shows on TV!”

Any advice for someone thinking about making the leap and buying their own franchise?
Follow the steps and don’t try to recreate the wheel. You purchased a franchise for a reason, so use the tools and follow the plan.

When you’re not working, what is your favorite hobby or pastime?
I love to curl up with a good book.

What’s something unique about your area?
It’s Colorado, so it has to be the mountains and some of the breathtaking views from our clients' kitchens.

We switch up our National Reunion location each year.  What has been your favorite city to visit or most memorable Reunion so far?
They’ve all been a blast, but my favorite has to be the land & sea Reunion plus cruise for Kitchen Tune-Ups 25th anniversary.

Do you have a favorite cabinet door style?

That is probably a tie between our Andale door in maple cafe with chocolate glaze, and the Tescott door which is knotty alder, black walnut stain.

What was the biggest motivator to why you bought your own franchise?

I didn’t want to work for a big corporation.

What have you found to be the biggest benefit to franchise ownership?

The structure of a proven system with the freedom of being my own boss.
